*What is the European Championship?*
64 players from across European will compete over two days to determine which players will represent Europe at this years Final Fantasy TCG World Championship in Japan and who is worth of the title of European Champion.
*Format*
2 Deck, Standard Constructed. This means each participant requires two different 50-card decks to compete. No serial number may crossover between the two decks. For example, you may not include 2 copies of “Brynhildr (15-014H)” in Deck A, and also have 1 copy in Deck B. This only affects serial number, so you may still include 3 copies of “Brynhildr (15-014H)” in Deck A, and 3 copies of “Brynhildr (1-023R)”. Day 1 will consist of six swiss rounds, and the Top 10 players will advance to Day 2 to join the six Materia Cup Champions in the Top Cut Double Elimination Bracket.
Players in the Top Cut will be asked to submit both decks on the evening of the 16th of September for deck checking which will be returned during the registration period on the 17th.
Players will play the 1st round of the T16 cut as 2 deck BO3, then players in the Winners bracket will continue to play 2 deck BO3 until they are moved to the losers bracket or they reach the final. Players in the losers bracket will play BO1 (secretly selecting Deck A or B for each game) until they are eliminated from the tournament or they reach the final. The final will be BO5 with the player in the winner bracket starting 1 game up.
In each round on Day 1 & Day 2, players will have 3 minutes to evaluate their opponents deck lists and secretly select which deck they will play with. Deck lists will be considered hidden information for the rest of the round which neither player may reference.
*Event Information*
Event Registration on Saturday will open at 10am BST and close at 11am BST sharp, with Round 1 being paired shortly after 11am. Any players not registered by 11am will be deemed to have given up their qualification slot and it will be reallocated to the next highest ranked player from the LCQ.
We will be using the Official FFTCG Tournament Software.
Decklists are required for this event for all players. Players will need two copies of each deck list (4 in total), one of each will be handed into the judge team, the remaining one of each will be kept by the player.
Day 2 pre-qualified players, we need your deck list by close of registration on Day 1. This is to ensure a fair and level playing field. All players, please make sure your two copies of your deck list are 100% matching.
If you want a template, find the official template on the FFTCG Website. If you don't use the official template, you much ensure the cards in your decklist have the serial number listed and they MUST be grouped by Forward, Backup, Summon and Monsters. Lastly, your deck list MUST be easily legible to judges and your opponents.

*Side Events*
Side Events will be run on Saturday and Sunday for players not longer competing in the main event. Our event partner The Brotherhood Games have the following to tell you: “We have a main side event for both days. The first on Saturday is a 2-deck constructed event. Given that only a handful of players will continue to the main event after the LCQ but everyone should have two decks prepared, it makes sense to us to put on an event for those who don't make it to see how their lineup would do. The Grand Prize for this event is the Cloud/Fenrir Play Arts Kai.
On Sunday, another go around at our previously successful Pair Battle! Teams of two will face off against each other side by side in a best of one using different decks. If both teams win and the result is 1-1, a 3rd game will be played with the losing deck where both players act as the pilot and get to communicate freely. We are allowing some communication in the first game also, but please don't abuse this. The Grand Prize(s) for this event will be a Chelinka Promo for each team.
Each event will have additional prizes based on turnout, so the more players the more packs, promos, and additional goodies will be added in. Square Enix might even be providing some play mats from previous events...
Additionally, we will have free to enter 8-player pods firing on demand throughout the weekend. Once 8 players are signed up and ready, they will compete in a best of one with the 3-0 player winning an Amaterasu Promo.”"
**We are still missing a couple of emails so if you're qualified and haven't received this, please message Alec on Facebook!
