Hello!
I'm not sure how active this site is and Reddit is down rn. Hopefully you can help!
I declare an attacker and dull it, the opponent uses an ability to break my attacker after it has been dulled.
Has my attack gone through? Does the attack phase continue to a blocker declaration?
I thought that once an attacker was declared and dulled, the only way to stop it is with a defender. Any Abilities to stop the attack would have had to been made at the beginning of the attack phase, before I declared/dulled an attacker.
I greatly appreciate your clarification in this ruling.
Thank you!

Hi. The attack is declared, any attack triggers will go on the stack, but if the Forward is removed from the field through any means before damage resolution, then the Forward is no longer in battle and will not deal damage. There's several priority steps for players to cast summons or use abilities, beginning of attack phase before an attack is declared, after an attack is declared, after block is declared, and again after damage resolution before you move onto the next attack prep or Main Phase 2. So yes, this was a legal move by your opponent.
