I just wanted to make a post to greet everyone a happy new year! I hope you all had a great holiday/break! A Look Back at FFTCG 2017 It's been an interesting year for FFTCG. We got a lot of firsts this past year with the first regionals, Nationals, and World tournament. We got our first FFTCG Opus Series Champion. Square Enix NA hired a representative for the game, RB, to help the game grow in NA, which helped jumpstart NA's first series of promotions for the game, starting at E3. We've also had our first official SE sanctioned social Petit Cup events in New York and in Los Angeles, with more to come in 2018. Stock and supply had a really rough start at the beginning of the year, but it finished off strong with a lot of product in everyone's hands. The community has been growing as well. We've been helping the game grow at grass roots level, building up local scenes. Fan-run tournaments and circuits have been great highlights for the competitive scene. More content creators are popping up on multiple platforms to help the community be informed and entertained. Now that we've started the new year, there's a lot to be expected for the game. FFTCG will be expanding to its 7th language, Chinese, and will be released in more countries. The product lineup for Opus sets and starters have been revealed for all of this year. The official competitive season will be coming up in April 2018. There's much to look forward to. Here's to another great year of FFTCG!
