I am starting to collect the cards from Opus I and I can not get the answers to a few questions: What is (if any) the differences in the European or Australian editions compared to American? Even if they spell color with a "u" are there any differences? Is there any true difference between Wave I and the other waves? I know there is the ERRATA, but there was also some color differences. I want to collect one of every card made for the American English version. Supply is scarce, especially Wave I, but if it is the same as the Australian English or European English editions, it will expand my market. Thank you for any help in advance.

I had heard about differences between Opus I Wave 1 & 2 but I hadn't actually looked into what they actually were (outside of the Errata on Golem & Black Belt). I found this thread on Reddit which highlights some differences that have been found (although all the supplied links seem to be the same as the official PDF they link to so you can't actually see the differences). I think i'm going to take a look at my cards when I get home (which are pretty much all from Wave 1 as I got them on launch in the UK) and see if I can see any of the changes they are referring to. I know for sure that my Golem's and Black Belt's have the old (wrong) wording on them but want to check the positioning of Ramza etc. I'll post my findings once I have them.

There's no difference among the English editions in different countries. I had two Wave 1 boxes from Japan, two Wave 2 boxes from the UK, and one Wave 2 box from the U.S. The boxes were pretty much the same, with the exception of the Wave 1 and Wave 2 differences. There really is no indicator whether an English card came from a certain region or not, or at least no one has noticed yet of spelling differences. The only errata we have so far are the ones I posted in the other Wave 1 difference thread. Some have reported of color changes between Wave 1 and 2 on two cards, 1-142R Lightning and 1-079R Nora, but someone later pointed out that this color difference happened for a lot of cards and was random. He speculated that the cause for this could be due to the varying levels of printer ink when printed, such as when the the ink cartridge was running low.

Apologies for not checking when I said I would. Have now checked my cards and can confirm the changes that was noted in that link. Both my Squalls (1-042R) and Ramzas (1-145C) are on the other side and the wordings are as explained. I can post pictures if that's helpful to you.

I updated the post with new info on card differences. It looks like we can tell between Wave 1 cards from later waves, even on cards without the text/image changes.

Sure, i'll take some pics tonight and get them on here. My stuff is pretty much all Wave 1 but if I have and Wave 2 examples to put alongside them I will.
