Anyone have any stories of how you initially played the game wrong?
I've played two games so far. The first game was with my friend and we just jumped in the game without fully reading the rules. We were generating CP and paying costs wrong. We basically discarded cards for the amount of the cost. So a 5 cost card gave us 5 CP to use. We also used the CP to pay for multiple cards at once, which I learned in my second game with an experienced player that was teaching me is not allowed. I know, such a noob thing to do, but it was still fun to play. I'm sure we did many other errors, but this was the most notable one.

Last weekend I was playing with some friends at an OPUS 2 event. I had (4) Warrior Light [2-145 L] out in front. My friend then used Moomba EX [2-045 C] and put my Warrior of Light to 1 health.
Just to clarify
(4) Warrior Light [2-145 L] 8000 (Forward) Reduce the Damage dealt to [Job (Warrior Of Light)] you control by 2000. Bitter End (1) : Choose 1 Forward. Deal it damage equal to Warrior of Lights Power
(2) Moomba EX [2-045 C] (Summon) EX BURST: Choose 1 Forward. Deal it damage equal to its power minus 1000.
The whole time were basically going "Well now WOL is on 1000". So if I block, I'll lose it. When if you actually read Moomba EX it states, 'deal Damage', not alter the state of the card. So don't change the opponents card to 1000, but deal damage. Since WOL takes 2000 less damage, I'm actually on 3000.
Could've made a few big game changers there.

bumblebeecody Aww. Yeah, that power difference can be a game changer. Luckily, it was just that one card where the mistake was made and you guys caught it. It's a new set too so people are bound to make some mistakes with how the new cards play.

I took my starter decks and began playing with my nephew (who is 11 or 12). We actually had a sheet of paper keeping track of our CP. The way we were playing, we were actually floating CP between turns lol. It wasn't until I was finally able to play people at my local comic store where they taught me that CP doesn't float. What's funny to me about that is I was curious why they didn't include some sort of counter or CP tracker with the starter decks with all the possible CP you could get.
side note: Is it just me, or is the "starter guide" really confusing when trying to learn?

The CP floater seems to be a common error in playing the game. I'm sure you're not the only one that has done this.
I found the starter guide to be very vague. It's why a lot of people are asking questions online or asking Kageyama himself through Twitter.
