The 2019 events have been announced.

Hey everyone, RB here! This will be a bit long, so bear with me!
The 2018 FINAL FANTASY Brave Exvius FAN FESTA was such an incredible event. We had more than 600 people come play FFTCG, whether new players wanting to learn, or veteran players excited to get in more games. Whether you're new or old, that excitement and passion for the game is something I'd like to keep going, so I have some announcements today for what FFTCG North America players can expect in 2019.
First of all, we will be holding an FFTCG Fan Fest in LA, California on February 9th. I will save the details of this for another post, but please save the date for this community gathering. We have some fun activities planned, and of course, keychains.
Now, while I had mentioned we're bringing back Petit Cups, our community events, we've heard you loud and clear about how you want them to count for something. While one single Petit Cup will not qualify you for the North American Championship, we're planning to increase the number of Petit Cups in 2019, and have them become what we're calling the "Petit Cup Circuit."
Starting with the FFTCG Reunion (https://www.facebook.com/events/693397424363282/), a fan organized community event on Saturday, January 12th, we will be sending additional prize support to various tournaments around North America. Shortly after, on January 26th, will be a Petit Cup hosted by Epic Gaming.
A full list of Petit Cup dates will follow soon... but I'm sure you're curious as to how they connect as a circuit. Well, the Top 4 of each Petit Cup will qualify for the "Petit Cup Circuit Finals" at Collector's Cache on March 10th. March 9th, Collector's Cache will be having their own Petit Cup if you haven't yet qualified for the Finals, so you'll still want to head over there to join in the fun. The winner of the Petit Cup Finals will qualify for the 2019 North American Championship, and they will be the first player to do so.
Starting in April, we will begin our 2019 Competitive Season with Local Qualifiers, Crystal Cups, and even more surprises. Our big focus for next year is on boosting local communities, and to do that, I'd like to announce that we plan to have over 100 Local Qualifiers, and Crystal Cups will ONLY be held at your Local Game Stores currently supporting FFTCG! While FFTCG will still have a presence at popular conventions like PAX and San Diego Comic-Con, we understand that it can be an issue to compete when an event is so directly tied into a convention. There is one exception, as Gen Con 2019 will have competitive events, but we will talk more on that at a later date.
Winning a Local Qualifier will once again qualify you for the North American Championship, as will Top 4 at a Crystal Cup. However, we are removing the byes from winning a Crystal Cup. Instead, the winner of each Crystal Cup will automatically qualify for the 2019 FFTCG World Championship which will be held here in the US.
There will be a total of 12 seats at the World Championship for North America: The Winners from 6 Crystal Cups, the Top 4 from the North American Championship, and two more that we will save as a surprise for later.
A full list of dates for every 2019 FFTCG event will be available as soon as possible, but hopefully all of this information has you excited for next year. 2018 has been incredible for me and the rest of us at Square Enix, and I'm just as excited for everything to come.
Until next time.
