Hi everyone,
I ran into a problem with Al Cid as I own both the Japanese version and the English version.
The Japanese version states that Choose 1 Opponent forward and you may play a NON-Lightning element forward card cost 3 or less from your hand
However, the English one states Choose 1 Opponent Forward and you may play a Lightning element forward cost 3 or less from your hand.
Is this a translation error?

Well I haven't seen the Japanese card and can't read Japanese either, but I know for certain that the English version is correct (being a Lightning element that is put into play) as Al-Cid + Onion Knight is a cornerstone of a lot of Tier 1 decks and if the cards was printed incorrectly then i'm sure if would have been mentioned by now.
I've also seen list from Japan with the same combo in list from Japanese tournaments so I guess either the Japanese wording is wrong and players there know that and use the correct rules or you've got a different version of the card to others. Might be worth something if that's the case!

The Japanese version of Al-Cid is listed under their errata. It had a mistake and they corrected it. I never read up on what it was, but it seems that this was it. You should keep that card. Erratum cards are collector worthy.
