Game creator Kageyama's latest blog post has come out and included some important errata for existing cards, as well as revealing a new card from Opus 3 which has helped to spark the changes.
Here is the new card:
As you can see, his power level is all down to the amount of different Job types that you can put into play. And this is where the issue and need for the errata has come from, because the translation of different Jobs in different languages has led to differences between the cards. What they originally tried to do in each language was stay true to the Job name that the character had in their original game in that country, but because translation doesn't allow work cleanly, it's led to there being differences in the card game which could affect the power level of Bartz depending on which language of the cards you were using. Obviously, this would be a huge problem which they cannot have as part of the game so they are having to errata some existing cards, as well as some cards which we have yet to be released from Opus 3, to correct this.
The full list of changes can be found below but for the English version, the only change is that Leon (1-060H) now has the Job 'Rebel' instead of 'Dark Knight'.
It's a shame that these changes have to be made, particularly for languages where there are far more changes (around 20 for some), as newer players can easily get confused as to why cards don't do what they say they do but at least they are addressing the issue before it became a problem in the competitive scene.
One other thing that this announcement has subtly given us is the news of a couple of cards that we didn't yet know about from Opus 3. Whilst this gives away nothing about the cards, we now know there is Krile 3-078H which appears to be a Paladin and a new Exdeath 3-100L.
